This just in, photo taken today, here's 2/3 of the athletic (and musical) Akers competititors. Bill on the left, who may be borrowing a nosh Mountain Bike from Adam Fulton for the big race. Isaac on the right, who will be the Tarzan front man in the canoe (watch out for that tree!) Really, he is a freakin' athlete, probably going to State in the hurdles for Ferndale High.

In other news: Mark Bryant is going up to Baker today to check things out and get a workout. Chris and Randy got a canoe workout today and now have a firm command of the J-stroke. Dean DeKoster will be going up the hill with Carlo Furlan, fellow biker (for another team) and Hillcrester. Bill will be scoping out the Mountain Bike course on Saturday (the first legal day to do so) and says it "sounds like a fun course". Dave Knebel is helping to direct SIC'M this week (Student Institute for Campus Ministry) and is ready to kayak.
